Counseling and Forensic Services, Inc was formed in 2000 to serve individuals, couples, and families with an array of life and mental health problems. The philosophy of the practice is to empower individuals to cope with, and solve, their problems, accentuating their strengths and unique capabilities. Systems, cognitive-behavioral, relapse prevention and solution focused techniques are used to help people move on with their lives as quickly as possible. CFS treats all types of problems including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, major mental health disorders, issues related to development, including divorce, empty nest syndrome, family reunification, aging, and young families with children and adolescents. More information on these services is located in our Counseling II program. These services include individual, couples, family (child and adolescent) services, women's group, mental health and psychological evaluations.

Forensic Services include court ordered evaluations and treatment as well as specialized mental health, parenting, sex offender, substance abuse, anger management, and domestic violence programs. Specialists, holding certifications as Sex Offender Treatment Providers (CSOTP), offer evaluations and comprehensive treatment services to juvenile and adult sex offenders. For our staff, ongoing training, ethical and resource development are an integral part of our prgram. Sex offender groups are held in many geographical locations in Virginia. Subspecialties of the practice are the S.A.L.U.T.E. and F.O.C.U.S. support groups as well as Anger Management groups for adults and juveniles.  

We have four locations to serve you. Our main office is conveniently located in Woodbridge, Virginia at the intersection of Route 123 and 95. Our second location is located just off of 395 in Alexandria, Virginia.  Our third location is located in historic downtown Warrenton, Virginia off Route 29. Our newest location just opened in Leesburg, Virginia and is located off Route 7. Our office hours are from Monday thru Friday from 9:00am until 7:00pm. We offer weekend hours by appointment only, based on availability.  

Counseling and Forensic Services, Inc. accepts most major insurance plans. Self-pay options for those without insurance or those who do not wish to use their insurance will also be accepted.
